Biographical Sketch
Zulmay Afzali is the Chief of Staff, Spokesperson, and Director of Strategic and International Cooperation in the Ministry of Counter Narcotics of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He is a recipient of the 3rd Degree Highest Government Certificate in 2006 and 2007 as well as the awardee of Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai’s Medal of Take-zafer during Independence Day celebration for his civil service this year. Mr. Afzali worked as Senior Terrorism Analyst at the Office of the National Security Council of Afghanistan in 2006. After September 11, 2001, the Pashton Southern commanders appointed him as spokesperson of there mission against Taliban regime. He also worked as special Assistant to Fox News Channel in Afghanistan in that same year. Mr. Afzali holds a degree in Political Science and has written numerous articles on counter-narcotics, insurgencies and terrorism.
