He became the acting deputy minister for national dialogue and reconciliation while also acting as advisor to the National Security Council and a member of the Iraqi Compact Secretariat.
Saad also leads the International Affairs Directorate at the Ministry of Dialogue and Reconciliation at present.
Saad Yousif is the Political Advisor for the National Security Council. He was born on October 29, 1954 and has the nationality of an Iraqi-British. He speaks the English and Arabic languages. His hobbies include playing tennis and golf where he’s a handicap 21.
Gathering information, applying realistic models for analysis, providing the required tools to formulate the most workable and successful solutions are some of Yousif's formula of success, which he instill in the minds of his team of project managers.
Muttalibi graduated from Hull University in the historic town of Kingston Upon-Hull in the United Kingdom. There, he found studying logic circuits gave him the most important tool in differentiating between noise and information, and the ways to separate each other. He continued his studies until he completed a degree in Information Technology.
He is currently in Iraq studying and analyzing the fluid picture in the country as it formulates and take shape. He has formed a number of theories relating to rebuilding of Iraq and ways to start the democratic process in the country.
Yousif is now helping the NSC in its political and strategic plans, after spending two years as acting Deputy Minister for Dialogue and Reconciliation.
